ICE LANTERN - WINNEPEG WARMING HUT

A winning project for an installation at The Forks on the river in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

The event was meant to provide shelters for skaters to enjoy and explore on the frozen river.

Our Ice Lantern includes seating at either side at the base, with a through way for skating or walking.

Above, a simple structure holds stretched canvas, reminiscent of sails, but lit as a beacon at night.
